Greg McDonald – Principal
Greg’s experience has been gained through working in companies and for business across a wide range of industries and sectors including; regional and state government agencies, the mining sector, transport services, insurance and agriculture industries and for franchisors and franchisees. He is highly accomplished in providing advice on risk management, share and business sale agreements, commercial transactions and disputes, shareholder and director rights and disputes, insurance issues, business structures and succession planning and franchise agreements.
Preventing unnecessary litigation and the costs associated is a goal Greg has for all his commercial clients. This he achieves by helping businesses identify and address potential risks then recommending appropriate strategies to resolve and manage each risk in a commercial and efficient manner.
His pragmatic approach and extensive knowledge of business issues, allows him to translate complicated legal matters into plain English for his clients and provide relevant and effective recommendations. The focus of Greg’s advice is foremost on providing timely and successful outcomes to his clients.
Many conflicts in business arise from the interaction of employment, ownership and (family or employee) entitlement issues not addressed when a business is structured or not managed as the business grows. Greg works with business to identify these risks and to put in place strategies to minimise disputes. If conflicts arise, Greg will manage resolution options through his skills gained from negotiating and mediating disputes between various stakeholders.
